Our region is currently facing a weather-related power shortage due to the extreme weather conditions that have descended upon us. These adverse weather conditions have placed a huge burden on the power grid, resulting in disruptions to electricity supply. Many areas are experiencing rolling blackouts, while others have been without power for extended periods. Emergency services are working diligently to restore power to affected areas, but the situation remains fluid and challenging. Vulnerable populations, such as the elderly and those with medical needs, are particularly encouraged to seek shelter in safe, temperature-controlled environments.
